Last Saturday we had the honor and privilege of attending the commencement of Drs. Hodge as they received their Honorary Doctorates of Public Service and Humanitarianism. The honors were presented by Drs. Newton, Lewis, and Nelson of The Denver Institute Of UrbanStudies. Joel and LaKeisha are super strong hands on leaders and founders of an amazing nonprofit that does effective and empowering work with youth, families, and communities throughout Denver. These Doctorates are based in very hard work, consistency, and dedication, in bringing wonderful outcomes to many people for many, many years (Struggle of Love Foundation celebrated their 25th anniversary this past year).
